Inspired by a dream, JTR Recruitment & Jobshop was founded in June 2003 by a husband and wife companionship. Economical growth in the larger Mpumalanga geographical area provided an ideal opportunity for a Human Capital Solutions Company. We have since then managed to establish a well known brand especially in the Lydenburg and surrounding areas.

Through extensive advertising and continuous search methods we have managed to build a substantial data base which contains candidates from a wide variety of job categories.

Our interviewing process is competency based and this assists greatly with the effective matching of candidates to vacancies. Educating candidates during our interviewing sessions assist them to search for suitable career opportunities with greater success.

Who we are

We are a husband and wife companionship who decided to follow our dream of founding a Human Capital solutions company of our own.

Jaun completed his National Diploma in Personnel Management in 1993 and has six years experience in the Recruitment Industry. In this time his main focus was on project management for various government & private sector companies where the Human Capital function was completely outsourced. He was also involved with the marketing side of the business where his responsibilities were focused on client relationship building, the negotiation of contracts and service level agreements and ensuring ultimate client satisfaction through fast and efficient service.

Thessa assisted the Human Resource Manager & Financial Director at her previous company for three years and was formally appointed as Human Resources Officer in her third year. Her duties included the maintaining of staff records, taking minutes in disciplinary inquiries, administering staff benefits, implementing of documentation for the Human Resources department, administering the skills development levies, recruitment and ensuring the company’s compliance with labour legislation.

We are focussed on building a data base of candidates in the bigger Mpumalanga area and try to educate local people in effectively applying for jobs by educating them as far as possible on how to conduct themselves during an interview, how to compile an effective CV and general work ethics.

We are currently embarking on a Black Economic Empowerment deal with Mr. Golden Mdaka. Golden has been involved with construction work and started working for JTR in 2004. He is currently employed as Temp Consultant and is on a development program that prepares him for partnership.

Our Black Economic Empowerment venture is being administered by Allegiance Consulting, a reputable company specializing in Black Economic Empowerment.
